Simon Cowell’s ‘X Factor’ has cleaned house this week, but they’re holding on to hopes that Ryan Seacrest will come aboard along with Beyonce with some major cash incentives.
It’s beginning to look like Simon Cowell’s scrambling to get those judges seats filled on his ‘X Factor USA‘ along with a host. Our sources who told us weeks before FOX admitted that Steve Jones and Nicole Scherzinger were history has told us that Cowell is still holding out for Ryan Seacrest to come aboard his troubled ship. “With American Idol ratings slipping this season, Simon thinks that Ryan could easily come host X Factor or do both since he’s a workaholic. Ryan’s got everyone throwing offers at him, but the producers are still hoping to strike a deal that would make everyone happy,” our source said which has been confirmed by two others. These are the same three that also told us Marcus Canty was out before the show began.
Now rumors are flying about Beyonce being offered $500 million to be a judge on ‘X Factor’. I called them about this, and here’s what they said on that subject. “While Simon would love to have Beyonce be a judge, the offer they’re talking isn’t that much, but there’s a lot of perks thrown in like American Idol did for Jennifer Lopez. Beyonce’s a smart business woman, and she knows she’s got the upperhand in this deal, but don’t be surprised if she doesn’t wind up as a judge. Mariah [Carey] is looking more and more possible even after what her idiot husband said.” They’re talking about when Nick Cannon said it would be a stepdown for her to be a judge.
The deal that’s been mentioned would be for 5 years, and we’re hearing that Pepsi could be putting in some more money to help bring in bigger talent, and they do like the idea of Ryan Seacrest and an artist like Mariah Carey or Beyonce holding a cup with their name on it.
There’s definitely going to be an announcement coming down the pike pretty quickly, and we’ll let you know before FOX finally admits it.
