There’s no magic wand to save Harry Potter, er Arthur Kipps (Daniel Radcliffe) from ‘The Woman In Black‘ which, from the clips below, is looking like a good old fashioned creepy horror film.
For a split second in ‘The Woman In Black‘ you can’t help think that Daniel Radcliffe will pull out his invisible blanket or magic wands in this creepy house, but that goes away quickly as these clips literally gave me a little chill. That’s pretty rare for me and horror, but this one looks to be that classic old fashioned horror where those little moments send that shiver down your spine and make you forget all about Harry Potter. Radcliffe has definitely been able to not get that moniker stuck where he can’t do films outside of his comfort zone and this is the kind of film that probably would have been cheesy as hell if it didn’t have the right actor committing totally to the part.
There are several great little clips below which brings out all those elements that give most of us the creeps; the creepy little girl trio, lights going out on their own, creepy wind up toys and dolls, plus that gothic style house with the mist. Combine them all and it reminds you of ‘The Changeling’ or even ‘The Others‘.
