Winnie the Pooh‘ is making its way to the big screen this summer in 2D and looks exactly like the classic Pooh we all grew up with. The original voice of Piglet returns too.

Everybody loves Pooh, at least that’s what Disney’s counting on so rather than doing a huge big budget film like ‘Tron: Legacy’ that will be lucky to break even after all the money that was spent on it, they did a 2D version of the classic ‘Winnie the Pooh’. It looks so much like the original that you’ll find yourself wondering if they’re using the old images or not. Telling them apart is not easy. This is the first big-screen Pooh adventure from Disney animation in more than 35 years, “Winnie the Pooh” will take fans back to the Hundred Acre Wood.

From what we’ve heard, this ‘Winnie the Pooh’ will focus almost entirely on Pooh with just a couple minor sideline stories like Eeyore losing his tail, but it’s all about Pooh in 2011.

John Cleese narrates the film while Jim Cummings is the voice of both Winnie the Pooh and bouncy Tigger; Tom Kenny as the industrious Rabbit and Craig Ferguson as wise old Owl. Travis Oates returns as the voice of tiny Piglet and Peter Cullen as the voice to the sombre Eeyore.

Winnie the Pooh hits theaters July 15, 2011.
