We got some mean e-mails from people when we reported that Steve Jones was out of the X-Factor USA, but we told you our sources are good. Now you know Nicole Scherzinger is next to head over to London to replace Kelly Rowland.
FOX tried to squelch the rumors that Steve Jones was getting canned from the ‘X Factor USA’, but our FOX sources are always right on. Now, even the ‘Daily Mirror’ can crow a little since the network tried to say it was a lie. Naturally they’ll try to say the usual PR crap about how they just made this decision, etc. Our sources said that the decision was made right when we reported it a couple weeks ago. Our source said earlier about Jones, “Steve tried so hard to please everyone, but it was obvious from the start that he was out of his league for this type of show.”
Jones let the news out officially by tweeting “I wont be hosting next seasons XFactor which is a shame but I cant complain as I’ve had a great time. Good luck to everyone on the show.” I even felt bad for the guy when he was keeping an optimistic approach and letting everyone know through Twitter that he was doing events with the X Factor contestants since even he couldn’t be that dense to think that FOX or Simon Cowell would have a change of heart.
Cowell and FOX President Kevin Reilly said it pretty plainly through their comments about the show being retooled and praises for Ryan Seacrest.
Now Nicole Scherzinger is being given a much nicer exit strategy as she’s been talking up finishing her next album and wanting to focus on being an actress. Unlike Jones, she knows where she stands, but she’s in much better shape since she’s being given the option to replace American judge Kelly Rowland on X Factor in the United Kingdom. Rowland had some issues with Cowell a few months back being given a 48 hour ultimatum when she wasn’t sure if she could fly over the pond from America due to illness.
Rumor’s are still running rampant that Ryan Seacrest will be wooed over to play with Simon Cowell again since the return of ‘American Idol‘ this season has seen some pretty low ratings. You know Cowell would love to score that coup, and from what I keep hearing, don’t be surprised when we report that next update and it turns out to be right on the money. Keep your eyes and ears pealed for that Mariah Carey rumor to wind up being true for her to replace Scherzinger. Kelly Clarkson is another possibility, but we’ll keep you up to date when we confirm who it’s going to be.
