Chris Nolan’s wife Emma Thomas commented that Zack Snyder was given full control of the Superman movie reboot, and after fanboys are screaming foul, Warner Bros got him to say he was still onboard.
Chris Nolan’s wife Emma Thomas got a little reprimand for her comment that Zack Snyder was in full control of the new ‘Superman‘ movie while Nolan could focus on ‘The Dark Knight Rises‘ the last of his Batman trilogy films. Best Movies Ever heard her say this at the ‘Inception’ event and knew that fanboys would be screaming bloody murder since Zack Snyder’s name provokes many responses and many of them not kind after ‘Watchmen‘ failed to please many people. Below is what got reported that stirred up quite the storm on many sites and blew up our phones here at Best Movies Ever.
Speaking with Hit Fix, Nolan’s wife and producing partner Emma Thomas revealed that “Superman” is currently a Snyder project through and through, saying: “We are handing it off to him.”
Thomas revealed that the Nolan team simply brought the new “Superman” movie “to an appropriate screenplay,” with the rest of the work falling on Snyder and his trustworthy crew.
Suddenly in the past 24 hours reps for Chris Nolan and his wife are working the phones telling everyone and anyone that Nolan is still very much part of the ‘Superman’ movie. Naturally, we hit up our great sources at the ole Warner Bros studio, and they confirmed what we were thinking that Nolan’s wife was given a nice reprimand about these kinds of comments and so they had to make an official announcement that hubby is still on the movie, even though he won’t actually be. This will give many fanboys great pause after the last Superman movie with Brandon Routh didn’t satisfy, and now Zack Snyder will truly have to prove himself. Our source also said that Warner Bros is very aware of Snyder’s credibility with the audiences that can help make or break the latest Superman attempt and are treading very cautiously so don’t expect any more comments from Emma Thomas like this again.
On another front, Christian Bale isn’t being too honest with the press about his ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ film as he’s been saying that he doesn’t know much about what’s happening. His exact comment was this, “Chris will let me know what I need to know when I need to know it,” he said. “It’s our fourth movie together, and I probably know a little bit more than maybe some people out there, but I think most people will be surprised by how little I do know.” But then Nolan has been telling the press that he’s been keeping Bale very up to date on everything with his lastest and final Batman movie. These two guys need to get together and compare notes before talking to the press again.
