‘The Walking Dead’ Return Promises More Action, Zombies & Shootin’

While some complained that the fall return of ‘The Walking Dead‘ was too much talking, they’ll be happy to know that the return of AMC’s hit show will have plenty of action from humans and zombies alike and everyone’s got a gun.

I enjoyed the character development last fall when ‘The Walking Dead‘ returned, but I know many of you wanted more shooting and violence…so AMC’s giving you more of what you want. As you can see in the short tv spot (30 seconds), everyone’s got a gun and firing off like crazy. Even little Chandler Riggs (Carl Grimes) who had a very itchy trigger finger after being shot instead of a deer is firing away. Maybe Season 3 will see the establishment of a new NRA there.

The remaning episodes of the zombie tv favorite is going to fly by with all the action this new trailer promises, and as we reported, it’s looking like Joe Bernthal’s Shane will be going to that great zombie graveyard for the finale. Since there’s been no major major characters get killed off yet (aside from the little girl in the barn), Shane, who’s lived way past his comic book due date, is the best bet. With his character going so far over the edge now, it would be pretty hard to find some redemption.

Last season’s first half ended with morality issues hitting everyone, while Shane and Rick got very heated over that little girl, and it wound up being for nothing. Shane can now say ‘I told you so’, but the fallout from that final scene when the barn’s set free will be powerful. It’s going to be interesting to see that Frank Darabont’s influence is gone from the show and how the new crew handles this. This is truly the test time for fans too. Will they listen to what frustrated some fans or will they just plunge forward thinking they know what’s best for the show? We’ll see on February 12, 2012, but we’ll have our review up a little before then. I can’t wait!
