Vin Diesel’s back to updating us all about ‘Riddick‘, and here’s a new image from the movie showing his shirtless and gripping his stick. With all the Mark Wahlberg and Dwayne Johnson shirtless images out this week, our Diesler had to get one of his out there in the mix.

Last week Vin Diesel let us all know that Universal was loving his ‘Riddick‘ so much that they’re already inquiring about possible sequels. After production ended on his long gestating passion project, updates were scarce, but now Diesel is back slipping us images from the film that won’t be opening in theaters till sometime in 2013. Like we said in our last article, hopefully not January since we all know that the dead zone for films the studios have no faith in. Usually if a studio is that gung ho on a film and talking sequels, they lock down a date, even a tentative one, right away so hopefully it’s not just hopeful enthusiasm. No matter since he’ll be getting ready to shoot ‘Fast and Furious 6‘ this summer and then that slew of other films he’s signed on for. Since ‘Fast 6′ and ‘Fast 7‘ won’t be shooting back to back as originally planned, he’ll have some time to slip his Diesel into another role.

Here’s his latest message that came with the image.
A still from the RIddick set this year… we are in post and I can’t tell you how excited I am to see it manifest. You all were such a part of it becoming a reality… willed it into being, so to speak…

P.s. Filming Fast this summer is going to be incredible, haha… Thank you again for the opportunity to make magic.

um even in a automatic you can keep it in first gear by having the shifter all the way back... just thought i would point that out :)

Maybe if you drove something other than your grandma's rusty station wagon you'd actually know a thing or two about how cars work.

The "forcing" of first gear is also used in many amt cars to make it drift, i saw some japanese dude have all kinds of switches on his dash just to keep the car in 1st, 2nd or 3rd gear.

@crashnshaman I'm referring to the way he's trying to sound like he solved a difficult problem with odd choices of words. Everyone should know you keep it in first by putting it in first gear. You're not "forcing" anything, it's just being left in first. Everyone that has driven on snow or has a real car knows when the car shifts gears its behavior changes. Perhaps I was being over critical.
