Production on Vin Diesel’s Fast Six has started in London, and our Diesel man is shooting out some pics from the set already, letting us know that he’ll have a steady stream like he did on Riddick. Dwayne Johnson is doing the same, and we included that pic he Tweeted too below.
Vin Diesel loves taking pics and sharing them with his millions of Facebook fans, and he’s already doing the same for Fast Six which just started shooting. Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is jumping aboard the the trailer and tweeted out a shot of he and Gina Carano hanging out on set. For those that saw her first film role in Steven Soderbergh’s Haywire know she’ll be keeping up with these boys pretty easily. For the above image, he reminded everyone that he got his big start in London on the Tom Hanks & Matt Damon movie Saving Private Ryan so returning has a very special meaning to him.
Diesel has also been campaigning as he likes to do on his FB page to be in Joss Whedon’s Avengers 2 movies as The Vision. He put up the image below giving enough hints as to what role he things would be suitable for his acting talents. With the latest Avengers installment still in the development stage, there’ll be plenty more time for Diesel to get creative with his campaigning for a slot to fill in Avengers world. Comic Book noticed that image, and while other less news (and more copy from other websites) are trying to poo poo their putting two and two together, but once you know how the Diesel boy works, this fits right in to his wheelhouse.
The next two Fast and the Furious installments will take Diesel, Johnson, Paul Walker, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Luke Evans, Joe Taslim and Michelle Rodriguez and the rest of the gang all over Europe. The biggest surprise came this past spring when Jason Statham wasn’t able to work out a deal to come onboard. This franchise just screams Statham ready, but there’ll be plenty more opportunities to see the guy with all his other upcoming projects. Fast 6 will hit theaters in 2013, but we’re still waiting to hear when Riddick gets an official theater date as Vin is too!
