Alan Ball’s swan season as showrunner on HBO’s ‘True Blood‘ is coming soon, and here’s a new poster and clip of our favorite mismatched couple Eric (ALEXANDER SKARSGÅRD) & Pam, who’s tears haven’t been edited yet.
You just know Alan Ball is going to go out with a big bang on ‘True Blood‘, and we’re already hearing to expect some very nice surprises and a return of a dearly departed character that was killed off last season. They’ve already created the vampire mythology so bringing back this one will work quite well, and fans will be more than happy too. I’m more curious to see if they’re going to hide Anna Paquin’s pregnancy with real live husband Bill (Steven Moyer) or go with what would be delicious and have a who’s my daddy threeway with Eric (Alexander Skarsgard), Bill or Alcide (Joe Manganiello). What girl or boy wouldn’t dream of that little matchup! Plus the same month that ‘True Blood’ airs, you’ll be able to check out Manganiello playing ‘Big Dick Richie‘ in Stephen Soderbergh & Channing Tatum’s ode to male stripping ‘Magic Mike‘; and to hear him tell me, his namesake will be on full display (but thinly veiled by a millimeter of cloth).
Another good bit that should bring some fresh new blood, new life and new skin (although we’ve seen plenty of his on Oz), but Chris Meloni is a very inspired casting choice for the show as Roman, an ancient, powerful vampire who holds the fate of Bill and Eric in his hands. Of course, I had to put a couple of images to remind you of Meloni’s look when he was on HBO’s ‘Oz‘ from Tom Fontana who loved him some naked beefy men!
And here’s the latest ‘True Blood’ poster which suits the marketing plan they’ve been doing rather well. It airs on Sunday June 10, 2012 so for those that go to church at night, you’ve got something to look forward to when you get home.
