Toy Story 3‘ topped both the 2010 domestic and worldwide box office this year with ‘Alice In Wonderland‘ not far behind. Not bad for a film that was ten years in the making.

2010 wasn’t the biggest year for movies, although the studios are naturally telling a different story as they’re pushing that 2010 was a bigger box office grossing year than 2009. That part is true, but the fine print should also add that the only reason why it’s a little larger is the upselling on ticket sales from 3D movies. Ticket sales were down across the board, but the onrush of those 3D films are giving the studios a little something to feel better about. We just hope that doesn’t encourage them to put out more crappy movies with 3D tacked as audiences will only dwindle down more feeling like they’re being duped. Funny enough, ‘Clash Of the Titans’ managed to squeak into the Top 10 for worldwide box office grosses so that may give them more reason to keep pushing it out. Frankly, what other technology is coming up on the horizon, besides whatever else James Cameron gives us?

Anyway, here’s the 2010 Top Ten box office winners. It was cool to see the underrated ‘Alice In Wonderland’ wind up doing so well internationally. The first list is the international box office numbers for 2010.
