Iron Man 3 has been shooting for the bulk of the summer, Wolverine just started last month, and now Chris Hemsworth and his Thor: The Dark World is about to get started. Here’s some images from the set to give you a little tastes of the new realm.
Alan Taylor known for his amazing work on Game Of Thrones gets to direct Chris Hemsworth as Thor: The Dark World and play in this new realm in Bourne Wood, England for the next couple months. Obviously, the sets are still being worked on but the guys at Super Hero Hype got an early peek so you do too now. This one hits theaters in 3D November 8, 2013 so you know there’ll be a lot of set images and behind the scenes clips like what we put up from the Fast Six set. Although I don’t think you’ll see Chris Hemsworth or Natalie Portman peeing in public or shooting a gun like Ludacris and Paul Walker.
In Thor: The Dark World, it will follow the stories from both Thor and The Avengers as the God of Thunder travels through the other nine realms in order to stop a new rising evil force. This one will have a bit of time in Svartalfheim and the villain is Malekith The Accursed, who’s the leader of the Dark Elves.
The returning champs are Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Anthony Hopkins, Kat Dennings, Idris Elba, Rene Russo, Jamie Alexander, Stellan Skarsgard, Ray Stevenson, and Tadanobu Asano (with Zachary Levi set to replace Josh Dallas as Fandral). I loved the first one so I can’t wait to see what the Game Of Thrones guy can do to top Kenneth Branaugh.
