A red and green band trailer for Seth McFarlane’s ‘Ted’ hit this week and they both are pretty funny…but naturally we’re more prone towards the red band one. The green band lays out a pretty nice plot too for a man (Mark Wahlberg) who lives with his ‘Family Guy‘ sounding bear.

It’s hard to not picture Peter Griffin when you hear Seth McFarlane’s voice of the childhood bear that Mark Wahlberg lives with, but it goes away quickly watching the red band trailer for the film. There’s plenty of laughs for everyone, and the green band trailer really lays the plot out. The green band one looks like a sweet rom com, but then in McFarnlane styles it switches over real fast to some great laughs. Basically it’s about a 35-year old guy who made a childhood wish that his bear would come to life, and now he lives with the consequences as this bear love pot, trashy girls and living off his man. This was fine until his guy meets a girl (Mila Kunis) and the tension kicks in. I think both are good sellers and it’ll be a fun one to check out in July along with ‘The Dark Knight Rises‘ of course. ‘Ted’ will easily become a big one on dvd/blu-ray among the herbal friendly viewers.

And I can guarantee you that McFarlane will make some use of bear love in the marketing to recall that famous Yogi Bear ‘All Good Things Come In Bears’ gaffe poster. He knows he’s quite the poster boy for the bears who call him a poster boy ‘cub’…and many of you will know what that means.

And see if you all think the scene with the check out girl in the red band trailer is as funny as I did when he goes a little too far. That was just so classic.

Below are plenty more images from the film to check out, and you know if you push on the image, it’ll get bigger and better for you.
