Thanks to the recent trilogy of films by Christopher Nolan, which culminated with the summer 2012 release of Batman: The Dark Knight Rises, Batman is once again right in the limelight and kids are going crazy for him

Not surprising, but Disney chief Bob Iger announced that Joss Whedon will be back to write and direct ‘The Avengers’ sequel ‘The Avengers 2′. Smart move, and I really don’t think anyone believed they’d let Whedon get away so easy.

After the teaser poster and first poster for ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ expectations are high, so when we saw the latest one with Batman’s Christian Bale against a flaming Gotham, it feels a little thrown together.

‘The Dark Knight Rises’ marketing did a smart one in mixing in a cool tv spot during the NBA Playoffs and splicing scenes in with the players making quite the effect. Christopher Nolan’s last of the Batman franchise wants to rival ‘The Avengers’ continued box office record breaking dominance.

‘The Dark Knight Rises’ has been slowly easing out new images between new trailers, and here’s some great HD ones showing off some Batman and Bane fighting and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

It opens here next week, so you know there’ll be a few more deluges of ‘The Avengers’ everything, and this is one movie that’s earned it! Joss Whedon cements himself again in Hollywood and proves to movie geeks everywhere, he’s not forgotten his roots.
