Sadly, we knew this was coming with the horrific marketing that was done for ‘John Carter’ so Disney can now blame the film for having to write down $200 million in operating losses. This is the Mouse House’s fourth year in a row in writing down a hefty budget fiasco.
Every since the ‘Friday Night Lights’ movie, I’ve really liked Peter Berg, but ‘Battleship’ is definitely looking like quite the half baked mess from what’s been put out. Below are some international character posters which look rather uninspired.
Disney is still pushing out as much ‘John Carter’ marketing they can with even the latest trailer hitting today which is feeling more like an act of desperation. By now most people know they’ve dropped the marketing ball horribly on an otherwise good film, but will all this last minute foisting actually help Andrew Stanton’s passion project?

The ‘John Carter’ movie marketing blitz has been going for a while, but then the weak tracking numbers came out to Disney’s dismay so we’re being inundated even harder. It’s starting to feel like how hard they pushed ‘Tron’ so right now, no talk of sequel for Taylor Kitsch.
Taylor Kitsch is John Carter with some new images and trailers.
‘John Carter’ is that movie that seems like it’ll be better just waiting for blu-ray to watch at home, but at least the latest trailer below shows that it’s not taking itself too seriously.
The trailer for Peter Berg’s ‘Battleship’ movie didn’t do too much for me, and the latest Japanese trailer makes me feel even less for it. Those of you not having high hopes for this film will understand when you see the trailer below.
More images are hitting from Taylor Kitsch’s ‘John Carter’ Disney movie that hits theaters March 2012. You can check them out below.
