I moved to New York City when Kids opened and Larry Clark truly depicted what was happening at that time. While many critics denounced the film and said it was just exploiting kids and parents fears, I think the film was pretty much on the mark and just as relevant today as back then. Love or hate Larry Clark was he was definitely at his prime with Kids.
Kids was one of the first first best movies ever checked out in New York when we moved there, and it packed quite a punch. Being naive at first watching it, I thought it was a documentary and most will remember, it was so hard to belie
