Described as a cross between ‘Twin Peaks’ and ‘Smallville’ A&E has greenlit the ‘Psycho’ prequel ‘Bates Motel’ without a pilot having to be made. Following the success of ‘Longmire’ and ‘The Glades’ the cable network is moving forward with more scripted programming.
