Starz is making sure we haven’t forgotten about ‘Spartacus: Vengeance‘, and Liam McIntyre is looking to quiet all the naysayers who didn’t think he could fill Andy Whitfield’s sandals.

Starz is making sure to keep on the ‘Spartacus‘ role, and even though the unveiled this teaser trailer earlier last week, they also showed it at Comic Con 2011. This franchise has put the cable network on the map, and they are making sure to keep it going even with the absence of Andy Whitfield. Liam McIntyre has had some critics naysaying that he didn’t have the body, etc. to take over this role, but it’s obvious the guy has hit the gym with all he had, and his acting should appeal to many. The pic below definitely shows it.

As we all know, the big appeal of the show is the naked men and women, brutal battles, and Whitfield made us appreciate that a good actor could make a show like this rise above the usual dreck that shows like this usually are. When Starz did the prequel ‘Spartacus: Gods Of the Arena’, it filled the gap that hit when Whitfield’s cancer came back, so the network quickly put this on the air, and it delivered a good place filler. Now with ‘Spartacus: Vengeance’ not hitting the air until January 2012, we’ll just have to settle for the full trailer Starz has promised us this week.
“Spartacus: Vengeance” stars Liam McIntyre, Manu Bennett, Peter Mensah , Dustin Clare, and Lucy Lawless.
