Daniel Craig recently said that filming Skyfall was extremely hard on his personal life, but he’s ready to don the 007 tux at least two more times. That will make him the third longest actor to play James Bond behind Sean Connery and Roger Moore.

Daniel Craig easily brought a whole new life to the James Bond franchise, and Casino Royale can easily be considered one of the best in the 50 year history of 007 on the big screen. Quantum Solace was a weak follow-up to the stunning Royale, but it’s looking like the producers are going to be more than making up for that with Skyfall. The marketing on this film has been very smart from being one of the star attractions at the 2012 London Olympic Games Opening Ceremony.
Craig signed on for three films in the franchise, and as he’s not had near the success as these films have brought him, he’ll stick in for another couple more. Then we’ll see if he’ll try to break Roger Moore’s record of 7 Bond films. Sean Connery was in six of them.
Originally Sony wanted to crank out a new film in the series every two years, but MGM definitely put a hamper in that plan. Now EON and Craig want to allow time to get a great script in order rather than just turn out sub-par fare.
Thanks to MI6 for the tip on this one as they’re on top of everything James Bond.
