Get ready for the Simon Cowell media circus this fall now that his reconfigured ‘X-Factor USA‘ will premiere two nights after its biggest competition, ‘The Voice‘ with Adam Levine, Ceelo Green, Blake Shelton & Christina Aguilera. Plus Britney Spears gets a little bitter slapback.

‘The Voice‘ definitely threw down the gauntlet for Simon Cowell when it announced it would be premiering it’s third season in the fall when his massively overhauled ‘X Factor USA’ would be coming back, but the pr meister will find a way to work it to his benefit. Cowell pimped his search for two new judges for all he could and then finally settled on Britney Spears and Demi Lavato who are know for stirring up some controversy. That’s one ‘C’ word that plays like catnip to his ears. He already got some fresh new fresh when he announced that ousted judge Nicole Scherzinger would be taking over for ‘X Factor UK‘ ousted judge Kelly Rowland.
You can be sure that ‘The Voice’ will make as much noise for its premiere as it did during the “Super Bowl”, so it’s going to be an interesting battle of the egos and ratings come September. ’The Voice’ premieres on September 10, 2012 and ‘X Factor USA’ hits on September 12th.

Britney Spears got a little surprise when a blast from her past decided to use the ‘X Factor USA’ audition stage to come out. Don Phillip, who did a duet with the songstress on her debut album ‘…Baby One More Time’ popped up to audition in San Francisco this past weekend. The singer was visibly touched by Phillip’s coming out for Pride month onstage with the cameras rolling, but that didn’t give him a free pass on the show and he was ‘X’d’ off. He wound up taking to his Facebook page to have his own ‘X’d’ off session, but after news spread of what he wrote, he quickly pulled it. But the thing with the internet, once you put it out there, it’s got a life of it’s own, and here’s what the spurred guy had to say.

This was bound to happen that someone would bring up that part of her turbulent life, but it sucks that he would turn into such a bitter queen after Spears was very comforting to him and kept her professionalism. After his big camera friendly announcement, she let him know that ‘the emotional things he has been through might have cut in to his rehearsal time, because it just wasn’t good enough for “X Factor.’ Hey, at least she’s being honest and showing people that she can handle judging others. Hell, she’s been judged enough over the years, now it’s her turn!
