Just weeks before Manila Luzon was back for all of us fans on RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars, her partner Sahara Davenport died, shocking all her fans. Heck, we’re shocked too and our hearts go out to Manila for her loss.

The news of Antoine Ashley aka Sahara Davenport death from RuPaul’s Drag Race and Manila Luzon’s partner has shocked not only the drag community, but all of us here. Davenport came to fame after competing on RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 2, but also after her boyfriend Manila Luzon (Karl Westerberg) was a runner-up the following season right behind winner Raja.
RuPaul Charles was stunned to have one his girls pass away so young in her 20′s and tweeted this message out shortly after finding out the sad news.
Shocked & heartbroken over @saharadavenport. Never occurred to me that we’d ever lose one of my girls. I see them as immortal

Davenport, was born in Dallas and became interested in drag while studying classical dance at Southern Methodist University. After moving to New York City, he made a name for himself performing at various gay bars and nightclubs as well as appearing in ABC’s One Life to Live and A&E’s 15 Films About Madonna.
No details on cause of death, and I really hope people give Manila some space and respect by not focusing on the cause. That will come out in due time, but for now, give these two the respect they’ve earned and deserve. I can’t even imagine what having the upcoming RuPaul’s Drag Race All Star Edition coming on the air October 22 will be like for Manila. She’s been our favorite queen along with Sharon Needles, and we’re one of the many who are feeling your loss.
