‘Glass House‘ tanked and ‘Big Brother‘ ratings aren’t so hot, but the Onion has created their first video series with ‘Sex House‘ which parodies those two reality shows and gives viewers what they want from the other two in much better fashion.

The Onion now has a new venture with Onion Digital Studios, and their first series is a fake one with ‘Sex House‘, a parody of reality shows like ‘Glass House’, ‘Big Brother‘ and ‘The Bachelorette‘. As the show says, the other shows promise you sex, but with the ‘Sex House’, you know that’s exactly what you’re going to get. Below is the first installment called ‘Meet the Nymphos‘, and it definitely captures that first episode of Big Brother where everyone postures and sizes each other up.

In “Sex House,” viewers are introduced to a cast of characters that will live in a house for three months where they’re all going to have sex. As much as actual reality shows wish they could do away with the “plot” and “character arcs,” the idea behind “Sex House” is that when you throw a bunch of hot young people (and one middle-aged old dude) in a house and tell them to have sex, you can rest assured, viewers are totally going to see them do it. One of the funnier moments is when the token gay guy (who also fills in the token black guy too) realizes that he’s the only gay guy in the house. As any gay guy knows, he immediately becomes the ‘hot’ one for one of the women.

Sex House is the first of four new shows that the Onion is putting on their YouTube channel, and new episodes air every Thursday. This one’s already off to a great start, and it will hit the right tone for even those that feel making fun of reality shows is sacrilege.
