Ryan Lochte wanted to move to Los Angeles, and he’s getting a taste of it when he does a special guest appearance on 90210 this October. After taking in five medals at the 2012 London Olympic Games, he’ll play himself, the easiest role he can do.

The 2012 London Olympic Games ended early this week, and Ryan Lochte is already locked in for a cameo role on 90210 playing his perfect role…himself. He told Ryan Seacrest during his famous pee in the pool interview that he wanted to move to Los Angeles, and this gives him a great excuse to make the move.
He’s won 11 Olympic medals, but this will make his TV series debut airing in October on the CW. He gets to shake things up a little when he happens to show up at the same resort where Naomi (AnnaLynne McCord) and Max (Josh Zuckerman) are staying to strengthen their relationship. Naturally this will cause a little drama, but not much since he’s only on for one episode, but now he can try out some of those pick-up lines we reported on yesterday.
“When we found out Ryan Lochte was going to be in town and might appear on 90210, we felt like we’d won a gold medal! Team USA are all-stars in our book, and we’re so excited he’s making an appearance on the show. We only wish the episode was a surf event so we could have gotten him in the water, but he deserves a little rest on dry land,” executive producers Patti Carr and Lara Olsen said in a joint statement announcing the news.
Lochte let it be known in an interview that he wanted to become the next Bachelor on ABC along with competing against Michael Phelps again, but this time on Dancing With the Stars. ABC is trying hard to keep a lid on what’s happening behind the scenes, but I’m hearing from several solid sources that the women of America are going to be thrilled to see him take both shows. We’re still waiting to hear if Michael Phelps will have time to fit in Dancing With the Stars in his soon to be busy schedule on The Haney Project.
