Sadly, Latrice Royale was the one to leave last night on ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race‘ and Eve Harrington wannabe Phi Phi O’Hara stayed on with Sharon Needles and Chad Michaels, but RuPaul quickly put out her latest music video for ‘Glamazon‘ with the final three plus some extras.
Our family here at Best Movies Ever News watches ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race‘ on Skype together since we’re all over the world, but we all just gasped in unison when Phi Phi O’Hara was told she was safe leaving our beloved queens Latrice Royale and Chad Michaels to Lip Sync For Their Life. This was Ms Michaels first time ever doing this, and damn, this girl knows how to put on a show! After just merely seconds, we knew Latrice Royale would be sashayed away and that’s how it worked out. I think many fans of the show were really disappointed since Phi Phi O’Hara makes Shangela (another girl that just got under my skin) look like a world keeper next to the polarizing O’Hara. Phi Phi just reminds me of Sheree Whitfield from ‘The Real Housewives Of Atlanta’ as someone who’s so desperate to get any attention, she’ll do whatever underhanded method to get there. She’s fierce, but she’s just not likeable, and if she wins the Drag Race, RuPaul’s is gonna have the same fan backlash that Tyra Banks got after the mysterious disqualification of Angelea Preston. Ratings have dropped this cycle for that show and Ru is smart enough to know that Sharon Needles or Chad Michaels are the tops for all the fans. We still think Sharon will be the one to be delivered Raja’s crown this season.
RuPaul did give her biggest heartfelt goodbye for Royale, and many fans got teary when Latrice said, “You have changed my life forever. You have changed the world of drag forever. I love you and respect you so much, and thank you for seeing something special in me. Thank you.” Usually in reality shows, that’s just as fake as a genuine smile on Phi Phi’s face, but you knew this was real and with the backstory of Latrice, she meant it. She’s a real story of someone who didn’t let their past hold them back. She owns her past and doesn’t let it own her! Now we’re still waiting for you to answer our interview questions too girl!
Then RuPaul unleashed her music video for ‘Glamazon’ for the same names album which featured the final three Sharon Needles, Chad Michaels and Phi Phi O’Hara in a 80′s style looking video game. I’ve loved this album since it came out last year, and while I was hoping that it would look a little like last year’s video which was just beautiful, this one was fun and has a bevy of celebrity appearances including Jessie Ferguson (Modern Family), Rose McGowan, Pamela Anderson, Natalie Cole, Wynonna Judd and more. You can check that out below, but I hope Logo uploads a better resolution as even small looks a little fuzzy and don’t even try going to full screen with it. And of course there was drama when Phi Phi struck back at Sharon Needles after RuPaul asked who should go home. Ru knows this always stirs up the shit, and she gets that twinkle in her eye when she asks, and it was delivered in spades. Needles just spoke what she felt and Phi Phi not listening close enough decided that it was an attack on her entire family when it was just a comment on how she treats the drag family on the show. But O’Hara always that big bundle of anger let loose and on ‘Untucked’ it really kicked off with a very funny segment where guest visitor Dita Von Teese was left alone in the Gold Room of the Interiors Lounge while the girls went at it. Even RuPaul gave up after doing her quick ‘Peekaboo’ to send the girls next door. It was rather funny that the battle was so heated, no one even noticed Ru giving that ‘do as I say’ look. Poor Ms Von Teese wound up having to leave after sitting in her throne listening to the Sharon Needles/Phi Phi O’Hara tour de force continue. She’s the first guest to be completely ignored, and you’d think Ru might have sent Michelle Visage in just to keep her company and compare boobs or something.
So next week is a clip show so we’re hoping Ms. Royale sends over her answers to us while we wait to see the fireworks continue as the final three take their next step toward drag stardom. You can be sure (plus we’ve already heard from our trusty sources) that Latrice Royale will be part of the All Stars show along with everyone’s favorite disqualified contestant Willam Belli!
