Last week ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race‘ was ‘Frock the Vote’ and this week it’s ‘DILFs: Dads I’d Like To Frock‘ so someone got the frocking on their mind, and cute little Kenya Michaels did a Shangela by coming in and going out. Oh, and Phi Phi O’Hara squirts a few tears that keeps her in the final four.

Last week we learned that judges Michelle Visage and Santino Rice would be bringing back a previous ousted ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race‘ contestant which we all knew would be Kenya Michaels, but the girl did a pure Shangela and was out on her butt just as quick. She did get to tuck her cute DILF though so that was a consolation prize. Kenya did win the turn your bear into a drag queen…no Andrew Sullivan didn’t make a guest appearance either. The girls had to turn their little plushy delights into cute drag bears. Winning this gave our little returnee an eyelash up and she chose which of the burly dad’s would go to each queen. Phi Phi naturally used her eyes to direct Kenya with the right daddy’s and she got a very cool guy who already knew how to tuck himself! These DILFS, well most of them, were certainly more in parlance with the ILF part I think we know they’re really talking about too!

I felt for Sharon Needles (we love her!) in getting a guy that at first seemed interesting enough, but he suddenly let the freak out! This daddy seemed to have some emotional issues when it appeared he was going after Chad Michaels, but our Chad held his own and wouldn’t back down. The guy later said he was just playing and laughing on the inside, but even the other DILFs called him out on it during the Untucked episode. Definitely an odd moment on the show. On ‘Untucked’ Sharon’s DILF gets a good talking to from the other DILFs, and he makes peace with Ms. Michaels in a happy ending for all.

Like last season when they had straight guys get a makeover (Jocks in Frocks), this one was even more heartwarming since they were all dads, and during the Untucked episode, Latrice’s man talked about learning a few things. Like most parents he would have immediately wondered where he’d gone wrong (as most parents wind up making the coming out experience more about them), but he found out that it’s not a choice, it’s just the way we were made.
The twist for this episode was that the queens had to teach their DILFs a striptease act while also being preganan…and looking like they shared the same DNA, but sadly we only got a glimpse of it. After all that effort those queens had to go to, you’d think Ru would have given it a full minute at least before the runway walk kicked in. Phi Phi and her guy looked nearly identical, but he had a guy who had that Elvis pretty look so it wasn’t too hard and they won. Phi Phi did shed some tears which made my heart slightly warm for her when she talked about her father casting her aside and wishing that her DILF could have been her dad…but I’m sure she was wishing that in more ways than one!
I’m rushing through this to not give too much away since it was a sweet episode and you’ve got to watch Untucked since Latrice’s man definitely showed way more personality in that one. It wound up coming down to Kenya and Latrice for the Lip Sync For Your Life, and when ‘You Make Me Feel Like A Natural Woman’ started, little Kenya went hyperbolic energy dance even ripping off her wig, doing cheerleader splits with that baby bump. Latrice was brilliant and I absolutely love this girl (and why haven’t you answered your interview questions for us girl???) because rather than jumping all around, she made the baby twist in the challenge part of the song. It worked perfectly and she blew it out of the park and stayed while Kenya sashayed…again.
Now after feeling some warmth toward ole Phi Phi, bitch starts accusing Sharon Needles of lying in next week’s episode teaser. She is that girl that’ll get your feeling sorry for her and then slitting you for a quarter. It’s definitely going to wind up being Sharon Needles, Chad Michaels and Latrice Royale after next week…and please don’t bring Phi Phi O’Hara back for the All Star edition Ru!
