AMC cancels it’s first original show with Rubicon, the political thriller that Best Movies Ever liked, but failed to find a wide enough audience to enjoy the slow unfolding show.

AMC has been on a winning streak with it’s original series including Mad Men, Breaking Bad and The Walking Dead, but Rubicon, the political thriller who’s storyline moved very slowly for most people, just couldn’t find an audience willing to wait and see where the plot would go. For those that never heard of Rubicon or watched it, here’s a quickie synopsis of what you missed. Will Travers is an analyst at a New York City-based federal intelligence agency who is thrown into a story where nothing is as it appears to be.

AMC put out a quickie release and statement about cancelling the low rated show. “Rubicon gave us an opportunity to tell a rich and compelling story and we’re very proud of the series. This was not an easy decision, but we are grateful to have had the opportunity to work with such a phenomenally talented and dedicated team.”

So another show bites the dust this season which started with Lone Star and now Rubicon.
