‘Prometheus’ International Trailer Doesn’t Offer Anything New

Most times an international trailer will show a little variation from a U.S. one, but with Ridley Scott’s ‘Prometheus‘, he’s making sure everyone gets the same thing. Only difference is no movie title at the beginning, but everything else is the same.

I guess after doing the teasers to the trailer teaser was enough for Ridley Scott, and ‘Prometheus‘ has so much anticipation already, he doesn’t need to keep feeding out new scenes until he’s read. This prequel to ‘Alien’ has enough interest with a killer cast like Noomi Rapace, Charlize Theron and Michael Fassbinder, there’s not a big need to keep pumping out images and scenes for the film. You know another trailer will be hitting soon, but not knowing so much about this film definitely makes me want to see it so much more. Unlike the previous post about ‘21 Jump Street‘ which is seeming a little desperate with all the red band trailer they’re foisting upon us hoping something will stick.

The very miniscule difference in the trailer below and what we saw some time back is that the ‘Prometheus’ title isn’t at the beginning. Otherwise, you get to see all the same footage and audio. Our Miss Sashay actually compared the two side by side, and she’s extremely anal on those things…among others.

Anyone who thinks there is anything wrong with this trailer or the synopsis is a dumb ass and doesn't know anything about film.

The characters development into the story are so deep that you can't possibly mistake one with the other...the director made from the audience...a part of the story.Probably it is and will remain for a long time one of the greatest achievements in cinematography and directing. I just have seen this movie at 'Popcornfreak'

It makes a nice change to see a film trailer without the words "Fast" and "Furious" in the title. :) And not a comic book superhero in sight...Blessed!

@chasam1234 think you need to do homework idiot. the writer has already said that 'leaked synopsis' was fake. this film isnt original? He hasnt made a good film in years? American gangster was brilliant, black hawk down was brilliant and so was gladiator. this is Sci-Fi (the genre he modified) and after blade runner he said he wouldnt go back to scifi unless it was original. so go back to watching your UNORIGINAL batman filsm about a guy dressed up like a leather condom

@doctorbasic In the original 'Alien' movie the crew found the alien on a different alien's ship, there was a scene in which they find the remains of a 'gunner' in a chair (that looks EXACTLY like the one at 0:44) with a large hole in his chest. I assume this is about those aliens.

Don't come on here talking about the Dark Knight Rises. Prometheus is a filmed going to take place in the "Alien" universe, ENOUGH SAID. It's going to be epic.
