Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit Part 3 will come much quicker to theaters as Warner Bros has set a July 18, 2014 release date for the film plus they’ve renamed The Hobbit: There and Back Again which should make fans happy.

Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit: There and Back Again has now been renamed The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug which should make fans happy since that’s been a huge question continually being asked of late. Also, you won’t have to wait a year between the second and third Hobbit films as Warner Bros has given it the July 18, 2014 release date. No word yet on the title of the third film yet, but you’ll know when we do. The entire series of films is being called The Hobbit: There and Back Again.
“We wanted to have a shorter gap between the second and third films. Opening in July affords us not only the perfect summer tentpole, but fans will have less time to wait for the finale of this epic adventure,” Dan Fellman, President of domestic distribution for Warner Bros. said.
Veronika Kwan Vandenberg, president of International Distribution, added further by saying “The Hobbit: There and Back Again will be an action spectacle and an emotional conclusion for this already much-anticipated trilogy. Opening in the summer will maximize playability for what promises to be an event film for fans the world over.”
Although their goal lies to the East and the wastelands of the Lonely Mountain first they must escape the goblin tunnels, where Bilbo meets the creature that will change his life forever … Gollum.
Here, alone with Gollum, on the shores of an underground lake, the unassuming Bilbo Baggins not only discovers depths of guile and courage that surprise even him, he also gains possession of Gollum’s “precious” ring that holds unexpected and useful qualities … A simple, gold ring that is tied to the fate of all Middle-earth in ways Bilbo cannot begin to know.
