Nick Stahl disappeared which resulted in a flurry of press, but after disappearing again last month, he’s quickly realizing that people aren’t caring as much, and it’s up to him to get fixed.
In May, Terminator 3 star Nick Stahl disappeared for a week surrounded by a lot of media attention, but then he checked in a rehab facility and checked out just as quickly. Hollywood normally crowds around its wounded ones to help, but after Stahl disappeared again last month, even his wife Rose said she wouldn’t involve the police again. “I’m backing off,” Rose said last month, “He knows exactly where home is. It’s the loving thing to do for him, myself and our daughter.” Most people didn’t even realize he’d disappeared again, and he came back much quicker this time around and is now currently in AA classes.
A producer who worked with the once very promising rising actor has this to say. “I’ve done everything I could over the years for Nick, but he’s gonna wind up turning into another Brad Renfro. He’s such a talented actor, but he’s burned so many bridges here in Hollywood that the only person who can save him is himself.”
That’s pretty much how it always is with anyone suffering from an addiction. For those that have forgotten, Stahl had the talent and if you check out Larry Clarke’s Bully, you’ll quickly remember.
