Yes, ‘Spartacus: Vengeance‘ is known for it’s amazing action and brutal violence and gore, but fans also watch it for more than that as these new sexy images for the gladiators and the women who love them show. They’re safe for work, but barely.
Even Entertainment Weekly knows what all the fan want so they did quite the nice artful pictorial showing off the casts in the best light possible…with some appropriate shadows falling on certain body parts too, of course. It is a family magazine! This is one show I do love for everything it’s known for, plus this new season will be pretty big since Starz and Liam McIntyre are wanting to make up for the sad absence of Andy Whitfield, who did give his blessing for the casting of McIntyre. For any fan or journalist who met Whitfield, you know he was such a sweet and very kind spirit taken away from us way too early just as his light was beginning to shine bright.
Spartacus Vengeance Synopsis
On the heels of the bloody escape from the House of Batiatus that concluded “Spartacus: Blood and Sand,” the gladiator rebellion continues and begins to strike fear into the heart of the Roman Republic in “Spartacus: Vengeance.” Gaius Claudius Glaber and his Roman troops are sent to Capua to crush the growing band of freed slaves that Spartacus leads before it can inflict further damage. Spartacus is presented the choice of satisfying his personal need for vengeance against the man that condemned his wife to slavery and eventual death or making the larger sacrifices necessary to keep his budding army from breaking apart. Containing all of the blood-soaked action, exotic sexuality, and villainy and heroism that has come to distinguish the series, the tale of Spartacus resumes in epic fashion.
Starring: Liam McIntyre (stepping in for the late Andy Whitfield as Spartacus), Lucy Lawless, Manu Bennett, Peter Mensah, Dustin Clare, Karina Law, Craig Parker, and Viva Bianca.
Premieres On Starz January 27th, 2012 10/9 Central

*sigh* skinny does not necessarily correlate to strength or power. Often times a muscle bound person is not as strong/flexible or nimble as a "skinnier" but more toned muscularly person. In fact too much muscle mass as seen in extreme bdy builders is detrimental to what fighters want or need. You don't see many top fighters (ie MMA) who have arms the size of ppl ready to split opn. this is because it takes more energy and doesn't provide any gains over being tone aside from appearance.
I have no qualms about a new actor taking the role of spartacus considering what happened. Still he had a gritty determination about him that just screamed through the season. This new actor has pretty big shoes to fill for this role. I think he will do a good job from what I've seen so far. Though I do hope they give some credit to andy somewhere as I don't think Spartacus would be quite as far as it is without him.
@boarderderek20 Spartacus is spartacus no matter who would play the character i will say that Andy did give us one hell of a first season but who says Liam wont You never know what this season with Liam could be besides they have alot to gain from this season due to most of it is for the first time out of the arena and ludus Who knows if spartacus vengance would be a success or a fail ONLY THE GODS DO.....
people grow up and stop bitching about this new Spartacus. give it a chance..lr dont fucking watch it. people still want the show, which is why they continued, despitre Andy's death. I think HE would have wanted the show to go on.
