Michael Biehn’s ‘The Victim‘ has been on the film festival circuit for a while now, but Anchor Bay has finally given it an official theatrical (limited, of course) and blu-ray release date plus there’s new images from that film and his new one ‘Treachery‘.

We wrote about Michael Biehn’s first stab at writing, directing and producing the indie horror film, ‘The Victim‘ early last year, and after working the film festival circuit, it landed at Anchor Bay who are releasing it in New York starting August 24 and Los Angeles starting September 7. It then hits blu-ray/dvd September 18th. Anchor Bay staple Danielle Harris stars in this one with Biehn and his current wife Jennifer Blanc-Biehn. It was a union that worked so well on that film, they’ve continued on with another called ‘Treachery‘ that stars the man who once beat off ‘The Terminator‘.

The ruggedly handsome loner stays far from civilization – that is, until a single knock on his door throws his solitary life into chaos. Two worlds collide in this psychological thriller that will make you question your trust in mankind. WHO IS THE VICTIM?
Starring: Michael Biehn, Jennifer Blanc, Danielle Harris, Ryan Honey, Denny Kirkwood
Directed By: Michael Biehn
Release Date: August 24, 2012 (New York), September 7, 2012 (Los Angeles) – Blu-Ray/DVD Release Date: September 18, 2012

Biehn has created his own niche for producing low budget grindhouse style films that are definitely fun. ‘Treachery’ captures the controversy between Henry and his estranged son, Nathan. Reunited at a friend’s small wedding party in a remote cabin, Henry and Nathan have their usual awkward interactions. Nathan, accompanied by his girlfriend Cecilia, seeks his father’s approval. Cecilia’s presence only adds to Henry’s discomfort, forcing him to want to leave, but a storm hits, trapping them in the cabin and headed for the worst along with the rest of the group. None of them really realize what is truly in store.
‘Treachery’ features an impressive cast of actors with Michael Biehn (The Terminator, Aliens, The Abyss, Tombstone), Jennifer Blanc-Biehn (The Victim, Dark Angel, CSI, The Divide), Sarah Butler (CSI, The Philly Kid, I spit on your grave), Caitlin Keats (Kill Bill, Broken English), Matthew Ziff (Truck Stop, Hardflip), Chris Meyer (Sex And The City, CSI Miami, Law & Order SVU) and Richard Gunn (Dark Angel, The Mentalist, Dexter, SCI).

Biehn is only producing and starring in this one as Travis Romero (TV’s White Collar, The Victim) wrote and is directing the film. The film’s been shooting in Los Angeles this month, and above is the teaser poster and below are images from the film.
