Channing Tatum’s ‘Magic Mike‘ trailer hit the other day, but here’s plenty of new images from the film that shows plenty of what’s in store for Joe Mangianello, Alex Pettyfer and Matthew McConaughey.

Even if ‘Magic Mike‘ hadn’t been semi-based on Channing Tatum’s two years as a male stripper in Florida, can you really think of anyone else who could headline a movie like this? Besides, of course, perpetual no shirt man Matthew McConaughey. The trailer looks fun, and having that Rihanna track definitely kicks in so we know that Tatum’s ‘Magic Mike’ is looking for more than just another $20 tucked into his thong.

If you’ve not seen the trailer (you haven’t, really?) it starts with a seeming cliche policeman showing up to a girl’s party and then say they may have some sharp items so be careful women. I think even Tatum haters will find it hard to resist him as this was the film he was born to star in. Seriously. The guy has taken all his Nicolas Sparks movie roles and ‘21 Jump Street‘ and blended them perfectly for his stripper with a heart of kinda gold.

The trailer shows there’ll be plenty of funny moments like the image below where ‘True Blood‘ daddy wolf Joe Mangianello throws his back giving a girl his stripper spinwheel treatment.

The basic theme is pretty universal but works for every rom com out there. Stripper boy is successful in his career, but missing that one area in his life so he meets the girl (Cody Horn) for him, but she’s a little judgey about his work. Naturally, his charisma and charm win her over, but you know in the third act, something will happen to give them a problem. Then everything will end happily, even for a Stephen Soderbergh film. You’ll recall plenty of that ‘Haywire‘ yellow saturation in the trailer too giving Tatum that hot jaundice look.

So June 29 will be a very happy Channing Tatum fan day starting with ‘G.I. Joe: Retaliation‘ and ending with ‘Magic Mike’. Don’t be surprised if you see more guys with their girlfriends in the theater for this one after this fun trailer that promises something for everyone.
