If you’ve been wondering what’s happened with AMC’s ‘Mad Men‘, it won’t be long since the marketing onslaught has begun in a classic smart way as you’d expect from a show about ad men. Plus check out the new promo below.

AMC’s hit ‘Mad Men‘ is becoming like ‘The Sopranos‘ with interminably long absences, but at least this one could just be blamed on money which fits right in with the show. Since it’s been off, we’ve had two season of ‘The Walking Dead‘ which easily trounced Mad Men in the ratings, ‘Breaking Bad’ is gone, but now there’ll be a two hour long welcome back episode of Don Draper and Sterling Cooper on March 25th.

AMC’s being smart is promoting the heck out of the show, but in a rather tasteful way as you can see in the billboards and ad marketing campaigns. They’ve obviously taken a note from the Sterling Cooper way and it’s a smart promotion. These billboards definitely stand out in their simplicity, but you know what they’re selling. Advertising 101 as we’ve all learned from the show.

Mad Men Synopsis
The series revolves around the conflicted world of Don Draper (Hamm), the biggest ad man (and ladies man) in the business, and his colleagues at the Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce Advertising Agency. As Don makes the plays in the boardroom and the bedroom, he struggles to stay a step ahead of the rapidly changing times and the young executives nipping at his heels. The series also depicts authentically the roles of men and women in this era while exploring the true human nature beneath the guise of 1960s traditional family values.

Set in 1960s New York, the sexy, stylized and provocative AMC drama Mad Men follows the lives of the ruthlessly competitive men and women of Madison Avenue advertising, an ego-driven world where key players make an art of the sell.
