Kelly Rowland tried a long long time, but after we reported yesterday (and long before) that she’s not coming back to ‘X Factor UK‘, she finally faced up to the fact and put out a very ‘canned’ comment.

I’ll give Kelly Rowland some kudos for not giving up, but it was just getting sad when Simon Cowell and everyone at ITV had written her off while she was doing everything to keep her name in the press to stay on the once hot show. We heard that our article yesterday helped prompt today’s comment from the Destiny’s Child singer. In this, and it’s hard to not be snarky, Rowland blamed “scheduling issues” and “global commitments”. I’d love to know what global world events would be holding her up after she spent so much time (and I’m assuming funding her press person) to keep it in the news that she wanted to be on the show. Funny enough, a couple weeks back, she then started saying about wanting more money to return after Take That’s Gary Barlow got a nice bump up in salary. Louis Walsh and N-Dubz singer Tulisa Contostavlos will be returning, and it’s widely known that Simon Cowell is making some goodwill by bringing back former judge Dannii Minogue. Especially after that book about him exposed more about their off stage antics than Minogue would have liked.

Kelly thoroughly enjoyed her role as a judge on the show, but felt that if there couldn’t be a workable solution to scheduling issues, so that she could effectively juggle her other commitments then she couldn’t wholeheartedly commit to the show this year. Kelly says, ‘I love the UK and being part of the show last year. Mentoring the girls was such an incredible experience I will never forget. I would like to thank Simon for the great opportunity and asking me to be a judge last season.’
