Academy Award-winning director James Cameron is furious that a private sex video he made has been leaked to the press. The film is said to have cost $200 million, and utilizes state-of-the-art 3-D visual effects.
The tape was said to be shot over 53 days, with some scenes filmed on location in New Zealand. The unnamed woman in the film was shot using motion capture technology at Cameron’s soundstage in Los Angeles, and digitally added into the footage during the editing process.
“I’ve never seen anything like it,” film critic Roger Ebert said. “Everything is photorealistic, from the sweat dripping down Cameron’s back to the periodic glimpses of Peter Jackson huddled in the corner.”
“I haven’t had sex this good since Gene died,” he added.
Despite the fact that the blockbuster sex tape featured revolutionary technology, its release was overshadowed by a private sex video from Cameron’s ex-wife, Katherine Bigelow.
Bigelow’s film, shot with a camera phone in a grimy alley for a reported cost of $3, is expected to outperform Cameron’s at the upcoming Adult Video News Awards.
