Hugh Jackman’s Changing Looks For ‘The Wolverine’

It looks like Hugh Jackman will be bringing some of his Les Miserables bearded look to The Wolverine as the images below show, so you can see his look will have an evolution in the film that seems appropriate since the a full head of long hair could have grown in the time it took to get this one going.

The images that surfaced while Hugh Jackman was filming in Australia had a bare chested Logan with other bare chested men in a prison camp, but now that he’s been filming in Picton, New South Wales, the hair has grown all over the place. SHH lists The Wolverine storyline as:

Logan begins a forbidden romance with a Japanese woman whose hand in marriage is, unfortunately, promised to another man. Since Logan won’t take “no” for an answer, it puts him into battle with her father and her samurai-sword-wielding brothers and Silver Samurai.

I don’t know if the long hair and scraggly beard will result when he doesn’t get the girl and does a Batman Begins thing like Christian Bale going scraggly and learning his trade. So here’s a good look at Scraggly Wolverine followed by a few of the hotter Wolverine. It’s kind of like seeing one of those ‘movies’ where you pick up the hitchhiker who doesn’t look like much and then they clean up and is very thankful for your hospitality.

The Wolverine will be hitting theaters July 26, 2013 from director James Mangold with co-stars Will Yun Lee, Hiroyuki Sanada, Hal Yamanouchi, Tao Okamoto, Rila Fukushima and Brian Tee. There’ll be plenty more images for you all with Jackman donning his shirt for artistic sake of the film.
