‘Take That’s‘ Gary Barlow has agreed to return to Simon Cowell’s ‘X Factor UK‘ for another season after Cowell let the singer know that he can take ownership of his slot any time he wants. Kelly Rowland still trying to spin that she’ll be back.

Simon Cowell has locked in another judge to stay on his ‘X Factor UK’ with ‘Take That’s’ Gary Barlow, who’s returning to help boost the ratings for the once hit show that suffered some major viewer fall off last season. Alexandra Burke tried to spread the rumors to anyone with an e-mail that Big daddy, Simone Cowell was going to axe the entire judging panel, was proven wrong as she often is. Naturally, the singer quickly added that she’d love to be a full timer on the show thinking this ploy was oh so clever. That’s such a tired move, I’m not even bothering to post her picture. If you have to ask, who is she and what does she look like?…that explains her obvious sad rush to get a little press for herself before that was quickly squelched. Cowell loves his media coverage…but as long as he’s in control so when someone like Burke attempts this, he is quick to respond.

Interestingly enough, Barlow stated he was nervous about signing back on since his wife is due to give birth during the ‘judges house’ episodes so the London press, assuming he’d be spending every valuable moment with his pregnant wife, found that he was out celebrating at a posh little gentleman’s, er ‘members’ club instead.

Nope, not his wife either, but at least that’s one secure judge on the ‘X Factor UK’ panel even though it’s only a verbal agreement, but Barlow has been known over the years for being good with his oral skills. We’ve also heard that Louis Walsh and Tulisa Contostavlos are all set too, but sad little Kelly Rowland keeps making sure that everyone knows she’s still ‘in talks’ with Simon Cowell about the show. Our sources on the show have let us know that with the ratings fall and viewers less than positive interest in Rowland that “Simon would be daft to not try to bring in a new face that the viewers will love. There’s been talk about bringing in guest judges each week, and that’s why Simon’s been so avid to get Adele.” That could be an interesting idea, especially since Cheryl Cole is another one who’s made it clear she won’t return to the judges table.

If you remember, Barlow is part of that boy group that’s been around for decades called Take That who, with Robbie Williams, loved showing the fans that even though their singing talents weren’t overly great, there was more to them than just a pretty voice. The first official judge for ‘X Factor UK’ has promised his wife that he’ll be there for the birth, but we’ll see if that just winds up meaning he’ll Skype her and give her a few words of wisdom while imparting his mentoring skills.
We’re also hearing that here in the States, higher ups are quietly mentioning to Cowell to lay off on his media circus tactics, so I’m sure you may have noticed that it’s been toned down a bit. Our source on this side of the pond had this to say about that. “The suits were feeling that Simon’s press was getting to be out of hand and that there’d be another season where the judges outshone the singers. Simon admitted that was one of the problems, but it looked like he forgot this when he was working up a media frenzy anyway.”
So, it looks like the Simon Cowell press frenzy has been put at bay for a bit which I advised some time back as the press was once again focusing on him and the judges over the potential talent. Many of the contestants who didn’t win the first season have landed record deals like Rachel Crow, but most of you probably don’t know that since Cowell’s face was further up on the headlines than theirs.
