Brandon Jay McLaren continues his winning streak on the small screen with USA Network greenlighting ‘Graceland‘, his latest show that’s right on the heels of his guest starring role on TNT’s ‘Falling Skies‘ from ‘White Collar’s creator, Jeff Eastin.

‘Graceland’ sounds like the right fit for USA Networks as it puts agents from various law enforcement agencies together in an undercover living situation. It sounds a little like ‘The Real World‘ admitting that’s its a scripted series. USA keeps finding those fun quirky shows like ‘Psych’, ‘Burn Notice’ and ‘White Collar‘ that are oddly addictive. Both ‘Psych’ and ‘Burn Notice’ have aged well and gotten better with each season so it will be interesting to see what Jeff Eastin does with this one.

Daniel Sunjata (Rescue Me) plays the FBI’s Paul Briggs, the senior agent of the group who has a legendary past but traded in his suit and tie for a more Zen life. Gossip Girl’s Aaron Tveit stars as Mike Warren, a fresh-from-the-academy FBI agent. CSI: NY’s Vanessa Ferlito portrays a strong-willed DEA agent named Catherine “Charlie” Lopez, The Killing & Falling Skies’ Brandon Jay McLaren is the quick-tempered Customs agent, and Manny Montana (The Chicago Code) is fun-loving prankster/FBI agent Joe “Johnny” Tuturro.

We interviewed Brandon Jay McLaren last month and I had a feeling that it would get picked up, but he wasn’t jumping the gun and remained hopeful about it. He’s a man of few words, but I’m sure he’ll have another winner in ‘Graceland’ as he’s been part of some great shows that have done quite well. ‘Graceland’ was one of three shows that were waiting for the greenlight at USA, along with Jennifer Finnigan starrer Wild Card and Steven Pasquale’s Over/Under but Eastin’s show was the only one to make the cut. There’s not a date set for it yet, but it’s looking like it’ll hit the spring or summer 2013 slate.
