‘The Expendables 2‘ trailer was just pure explosive fun with the Jason Statham, Chuck Norris, Stallone crew, so here’s a huge bunch of hi-res images so you can see all that intense action a little more close up.
Yup, ‘The Expendables 2‘ trailer finally arrived last week, and it’s got those bad lines that can make you cringe a little as expected, but it delivers on fire power, guns, fights and people being thrown through the air. Plotwise, it definitely seems rather thin, and trying to figure out why Jean Claude Van Damme needs plutonium (you wonder if he really knows what it does) when he goes into fight mode with Sylvester Stallone. Who needs fire power when you still kick in the air like that? Jason Statham makes a fine looking monk, but his “I now pronounce you man and knife” comment definitely made me wince. Naturally Arnold Schwartzenegger had to get in his “I’m back” line, but the scene where he rips the door off that puny little car Bruce Willis is driving did make me chuckle at least.
The face that the marketing on this film has been pretty lackluster until still makes me wonder how it’ll wind up playing on the big screen. I’m hoping it’s as fun as the first round although many didn’t seem to like it as much as I did. When any film can bring together all those action stars from the day, I’ll watch it no matter what. This trailer has Stallone introing it, but he’s no Terry Crews.
