Emily Blunt Shows Some Of Her ‘Looper’ Images

It’s the weekend of Joss Whedon’s ‘The Avengers’, which is killing it at the box office, but here’s some new shots of Emily Blunt in the Joseph Gordon-Levitt Rian Johnson movie ‘Looper‘. She’s definitely gotten the hang of those sci-fi type films after starring with Matt Damon in ‘The Adjustment Bureau‘.

Ever since ‘The Devil Wears Prada‘, I’ve loved Emily Blunt, and even in the smaller films like ‘Wind Chill‘, she’s just a great performer who gives it her all. When she started doing the range of films like ‘The Adjustment Bureau‘, I knew there was a reason to keep my eye on her. Otherwise, it’d be like stalking, and I am a professional! Now she’s going up another great actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt, in ‘Looper‘ which is just a cool sci-fi thriller with a great premise. Oh, and yeah, Bruce Willis is starring in yet another film along with ‘G.I. Joe: Retaliation‘ and ‘The Expendables 2′.

‘Looper’ is a great way to start the fall movie season, and it’s not got the biggest heat factor going on right now, after ‘The Dark Knight Rises‘ (also starring Christopher Nolan favorite Joseph Gordon-Levitt), the heat should start to rise on this promising film. The story is pretty cool about a world where time travel exists, but it’s only used on the black market and mainly for hitmen. If you want to kill someone, they are sent 30 years into the past where Ed, the helpful contract killer (Gordon-Levitt) does the job. The kicker in the film is that Gordon-Levitt’s future self (Bruce Willis) is sent to the past so he can in effect commit a form of suicide ‘Terminator‘ style.

Looper Movie Synopsis

In the futuristic action thriller Looper, time travel will be invented – but it will be illegal and only available on the black market. When the mob wants to get rid of someone, they will send their target 30 years into the past, where a “looper” – a hired gun, like Joe (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) – is waiting to mop up. Joe is getting rich and life is good… until the day the mob decides to “close the loop,” sending back Joe’s future self (Bruce Willis) for assassination.
