Everyone was predicting what Donald Trump’s big October surprise announcement would be about Barack Obama that would certainly win Mitt Romney the election, and the Donald proved everyone wrong. Check out his video surprise and statement below.
Donald Trump swore on his Twitter that his big October surprise announcement wasn’t a media event or about himself, but his announcement about Barack Obama that would surely swing the 2012 Presidential election in Mitt Romney’s favor feels more like that anyway. He did get the satisfaction of having media dredge up old news from the Klein book about problems way back in the President’s marriage so if Trump was hoping to bring some of the gossip up he got his way, but he was right in that all the predictions that were being made were way off.
No one would have predicted something this silly and self serving even for Trump. Basically, he is throwing out a challenge that if Barack Obama releases all his college papers and passport, he’s donate $5 million to any charity of his wish. Naturally, the Donald added the words ‘to his satisfaction’ which can mean anything.
Trump said, “The check will be given within one hour after he releases all of the records … he’ll be doing a great service for the country if he does this.”
But he gave a deadline of October 31, 2012 or the deal is dead. I doubt much media attention will be given to Trumps latest media stunt after his declaration way back about having private investigator’s finding some ‘amazing stuff’ on Obama’s birth certificate. Eventually the guy is going to find something of substance down the line, but after all these empty stunts, there’ll be no one around to listen.
You get more respect on The Apprentice, but attempting these stunts over and over will quickly make you lose it by even your most ardent supporters. Here’s the full statement below. Naturally, he’s already trumpeting the ‘overwhelming’ response. All comments on the video have been disabled on YouTube which definitely is a statement itself since the Donald must know what kind of reception this big announcement would get, but you can leave your own comments below since we don’t fear them and don’t disable them.
The response has been fantastic— actually overwhelming! Thank you!
