Does Catwoman Join Bane In ‘The Dark Knight Rises’?

I don’t think it would come as much shock if Catwoman and Bane join up against Batman in ‘The Dark Knight Rises‘ and the LA Times drops a hint it might be happening.

Anne Hathaway did a profile piece in the LA Times and dropped some big ole hints about her new Catwoman outfit plus her possible working together with Tom Hardy’s Bane which seems like a very sweet combo. She describes the scene quite well as you’ll see below (Spoiler Alert, but no really a surprise), but what I loved about the trailer plus this is that ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ definitely is timely with everything going on today too with so much change and uncertainty. Unlike in those other films with Catwoman, Selina Kyle will be quite the nice little force for Batman to play with.

Anne Hathaway Speaks About Catwoman
Gotham City is a war zone. A ruthless madman named Bane has ripped away any sense of security and the citizens, haggard and clutching suitcases with refugee anxiety, sit behind barbed wire waiting to see what will blow up next. A hooded prisoner is dragged in – it’s Bruce Wayne, one of Gotham’s most famous faces – but the eyes of the crowd go instead to the woman in black standing at the top of the staircase.

“Sorry to spoil things, boys, but Bane needs these guys himself,” says sultry Selina Kyle, played here by actress Anne Hathaway, navigating the steps with stiletto heels that, on closer inspection, turn out to have serrated edges capable of leaving nasty claw marks in a fight. She also wears high-tech goggles that, when not in use, flip up and resemble feline ears. I love the costume. I love the costume because everything has a purpose, nothing is in place for fantasy’s sake, and that’s the case with everything in Christopher Nolan’s Gotham City.

So there’s a little more visualization on Catwoman and Bane. I could definitely see Bane trying to turn Catwoman into a little worker bee for him, but then she wants to be on top which would lead to a cool little struggle and her possibly helping Batman in the end. There’s always been that interesting relationship between the Bat and the Cat.

‘The Dark Knight Rises’ hits theaters & IMAX July 20, 2012 for a very nicely crowded Summer 2012. To see all the images in one spot to make your life easier, check out our ‘Dark Knight Rises’ Images Gallery.

@beefkilla Honestly, Bane is more intimidating than most Batman villains. He belongs to the select few who figure out Batman's identity and that's always scary. And while the Joker has caused lethal damage to a couple of his allies, he's still a bit of a dandy and overall never felt like a threat in the comics. And look what Nolan did with the character. Bane on the other hand systematically weakens & then breaks him. He scared me in Knightfall so I'm not sure I can handle this movie.

@cartooncritic01 From what i have gotten from it- the rise of criminals like Cat women and Bane forces Gothem to need the Batman to rise again which i believe the movie will be him coming back.. now for cat women as she says she is pissed that people like Bruce have been so wealthy and now done more for the people of Gothem.. so it was clear to me but if you liked and remembered Inceptions trailer i honestly didnt know what the fuck it was about compared to this haha but i still saw it

why do people want a big muscular guy to play Bane? did they not watch Batman & Robin? big muscular guy equals stupid movie. Nolan knows what he's doing. Plus Tom Hardy looks like a baller walking around in that coat!

When comparing the last Dark Knight trailer to this one, the plot isn't as clear and the trailer barely makes sense as a whole. I know it's about Catwoman and Bane... But I wonder especially why Anne Hathaway is Catwoman! I love her as an actress, but I have never seen her as an antagonist before. I'm excited to see how Christopher Nolan brings this all together because this trailer was a bit of a let down...
