Some new images hit this week of Tom Hardy’s Bane from ‘The Dark Knight Rises‘ and he looks massive thanks to some additional digital work for people worrying that the actor would be too small for the larger than life role. It appears those images were leaked and Warner Bros has asked us to remove which we did. Onward Dark Knight Rises!
When Tom Hardy was first announced to play Bane in ‘The Dark Knight Rises‘ some fans felt he’d be too small since he’s around 5’9″, but they forgot about CGI to make the guy more massive and Hardy would have no problem playing the part as big as Christopher Nolan wanted him to. This guy can play any part, and for anyone who saw him in ‘Warrior‘, you’d know there’s nothing the guy can’t do.
It’ll be interesting to see how Nolan blends in CGI with this character to give him that enormous look as we’ve seen in the trailers. These images look so over the top massive, especially compared to Hardy’s size, but you can feel the aggression that he’ll bring to the role just popping off the screen.
One big treat for everyone going to see ‘The Avengers‘ next month is the new trailer for ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ will be showing up which is an interesting crossover marketing for a DC Comics movie to be a trailer for a Marvel Comics movie. Obviously, the studios aren’t that stupid as to miss out on that great opportunity. It’s almost here and we’re so looking forward to a killer blockbuster Summer 2012!
