Daniel Craig and Sam Mendes talk about the latest James Bond Skyfall movie and the trailer for the upcoming Bond50 blu-ray release hits. New images are below to check out too.

In the latest video update for Skyfall, it’s odd hearing Sam Mendes say that London isn’t the most photographic of cities, but I think for any of us who’ve lived there or even just visited it, we’d have to disagree. Any time a movie shows the London skyline, it’s quite visually stunning, and as Mendes is saying this, these amazing iconic landscapes appear on screen as if to refute him. As he continues, you understand that he’s just trying to see it from a new perspective rather than just shooting the same locales we know from all the other films.
Daniel Craig gets the most screen time talking about the locales and his latest venture into James Bond territory. I’ve been rather surprised at the seeming lack of response to this film with fans. There’s some, but this latest 007 doesn’t seem to be getting as much attention as the others. “Sam and I wanted to make it British,” Craig says, which includes a glimpse at a harrowing car chase. “And it’s not some flag-waving thing that either one of us is interested in. It’s just about basing Bond in Britain.”

I don’t know if it’s because of The Quantum Solace or the fact that so many years have passed since the last Bond film, but even with the 2012 London Olympic Games parachuting with Queen Elizabeth II doesn’t seem to have picked up interest. I’m looking forward to it as the producers are definitely trying to make up for the lost time thanks to MGM. This one’s even got the most expensive stunt in Bond history.
Marking the 50th Anniversary of Bond is Bond50 a enormous blu-ray series hitting next month, and the video below exploits that pretty well. This collection definitely looks like any hardcore Bond fans dream come true.
