‘The Expendables 2‘ marketing has been rolling along, but the one big surprise that was uncovered was that there’s a game tie-in coming with the film, but Chuck Norris appears to be the one Expendable who was expendable for the Ubisoft game.

We know that Jean Claude Van Damme will be killing one of the ‘Expendables‘ and Steven Seagal let it slip that he’s been asked to co-star in Sylvester Stallone’s ‘Expendables 3‘, but the biggest kept secret until now is that there’s a game tie-in for the action film. After seeing the footage, it looks like Ubisoft and the studio have slapped together something to make a quick buck from the fans since it’s just not looking that good. Maybe we’ve gotten used to great quality in our action games that look amazing, but this one just looks like it’ll be hitting the discount aisles rather quickly…plus it’s missing the one ‘Expendable’ you expect in a game like this. That’s right, Chuck Norris is no where to be seen in this. I don’t know if there was too much violence or not…remember Norris was wanting ‘The Expendables 2′ to get a PG-13 rating so that could be the reason…or not enough money was offered.

This is the type of game that you would expect to be in the league of ‘Army Of Two‘, but it feels more like that dreadful ‘G.I. Joe‘ game that hit some years back. If you recall how the ‘Battle L.A.’ game was announced just weeks ahead of the film’s release (and that game sucked), this might be happening with ‘EX2 – The Game’. At least we know the movies going to satisfy what the game won’t.

Lionsgate asked us nicely to take this down. We’ll be watching even closer for sure when the game hits to see if it actually gets better. They said that the game footage was from an early build.
