American Idol definitely tried to use some negative press before the season started to jump start its flagging ratings, but the Mariah Carey Nicki Minaj feud has done nothing to stop the shocking ratings freefall. So like Simon Cowell’s ratings starved X Factor USA, expect to see a new judges panel next season…aside from Randy Jackson who has nowhere else to go.

Word has surfaced that American Idol was hoping to stave off their ratings freefall midseason by replacing Mariah Carey with Jennifer Lopez, but that’s been more to plug Lopez’s appearance o the show in May. The problem with Idol is way more serious, and their adding Carey with Minaj has done nothing to help ratings. Keith Urban has been a complete bland bore on the show and Minaj has turned off many of the core audience across America. The THR rumor story of Carey getting bumped off the show seems a little odd since manager and fellow judge would have nixed that quickly with a very high priced litigation threat.

Last week Idol was beaten by repeats of CBS hit The Big Bang Theory. NBC’s much better singing competition The Voice returning has done even more damage to Idol as the addition of Shakira and Usher Raymond have only helped boost ratings. Adam Levine and Blake Shelton stayed on while Christina Aguilera and CeeLo Green took a short hiatus from judging.

We’ve been hearing that Jennifer Lopez might be back next season to judge (naturally she’ll be pushing for way more money and perks) as she proved to be more popular than Carey. Enrique Iglesias’ name is already back in the mix to replace Urban along with some younger female names to try and get back a younger demographic that The Voice has quickly taken. Word has also started that FOX isn’t happy with Cowell’s X Factor problems, and they’re considering trying to woo him back to Idol. That would be a long shot as Simon will probably continue driving his show into the ground refusing to admit it just isn’t working.

Right now, Idol continues throwing money down the drain thinking that it’s all about the judges and not the actual singers vying for the win. They could easily take notes from The Voice to see how it doesn’t have to be all about the judges hogging the spotlight. Until then, keep watching those ratings drop and then blame it on one of the outgoing judges. This time around, they’ll just point the finger at Mariah Carey. Next season, we’ll see who they can blame. Sadly, it’s the singers on the show and the fans of the once juggernaut singing competition who suffer.

I was driving along in my VW Rabbit when the new One Direction song, “Live While We’re Young,” came on the radio. I was instantly reminded of being a sixteen in a training bra again, and Brian Fletcher saying anything he could to get into my cotton underbritches.

Justin Bieber’s people had a savvy idea getting him to cry wolf on Twitter right before he dropped his latest Beauty and A Beat music video featuring Nicki Minaj. Bieber’s latest album didn’t live up to expectations, so he knew to tantalize fans with the prospect that he slipped into ‘accidental’ leaked sex tape territory. Even Hulk Hogan acted more realistic about his.

What better way to drive up some public interest for Justin Bieber’s latest music video, Beauty and A Beat with Nicki Minaj than that old trusty, ‘I lost my laptop and I had a lot of personal footage on there’. Fans immediately thought sex tape or naked images, and suddenly one was delivered quickly on the internet. We’re not going to post the pic on here, but you can check it out here or here instead, if you’re so inclined. After fans grumbled that they felt a little duped by this hoax, his publicist went into instant damage control mode stating that his laptop actually had been stolen Tuesday night in Washington. Tacoma police confirmed that a police report was filed too.

Of course, readers immediately sent over the shots, and I just couldn’t bring myself to even take a peek since the Biebs just doesn’t do it for me. I give him credit for this stunt, especially with the creation of a Twitter user who seemed to be threatening to reveal this tape which turned out to be the music video. Below is an example of this:

His fans are very savvy and they took to inspecting every inch of the photos to verify if his nipples and tattoos matched. The verdict was that his nipples have a different shape and smoothness than the ones in the picture. I can only imagine what the person who discovered the inconsistencies was like going to those extremes. Bieber got the reaction he was aiming for, and he pulled of a big stunt on the fans who didn’t see it coming. What’s he’s going to have to do next for the next album to do well?

Earlier this week, Bieber collaborated with Nassau County DA Kathleen Rice to drop a public service announcement aimed at helping kids fight cyberbullies and avoid other Internet traps. This was part of a plea bargain for manager Scott Braun and Def Jam Records executive James Ropp who faced misdemeanor charges in connection to an out-of-control mob of 3,000 girls that came to get the Bieb’s autograph in 2009.

“Kids are mean and they don’t realize how hurtful what they’re saying can possibly be to the person they’re saying this stuff to — cause to them, it’s just a word,” Bieber said. “Sometimes you’d rather be physically beaten up than emotionally damaged.”

The Biebs also said he knows what it’s like to be bullied.

“I was picked on,” he said. “It’s a tough feeling. But at the end of the day, you can get through it.”

What better way to celebrate Christmas this year than Les Miserables playing reminding you that there are way less fortunate people out there than you. Plus it shows that Hugh Jackman can dirty it up with the best of them and still keep that sexy rugged edge. Later today, Gleeks will be looking into the empty bottoms of tissue boxes after Glee’s highly anticipated/dreaded Break Up episode airs. There’ll be a very shocking moment that will easily get the board flaming hard, but here’s new images and clips for more clues.

The one couple that’s safe in all the Glee Break Up episode is Will and Emma, but they seem to be the least that fans are worried about as Klaine, Finchel and Brittana are all up for grabs. We’ve already seen the episode, and even though many of you have asked for indepth spoilers, I don’t want to ruin everything. It’s definitely very wrenching, but there are some good and not so good surprises in store for fans tonight.

Here’s some quotes below to give you an idea, and I’ll let you fans figure out who said what.

Brittany (Heather Morris) is always such a cheerful site so when she cries later tonight, it’s heart breaking, but Kurt (Chris Colfer) does get flowers from Blaine (Darren Criss) twice so it’s a floral Klaine episode as you can see in the one image above. One big hint, in all the promos and pushing that Ryan Murphy’s been doing on Twitter, pay attention to what couples are not getting promoted as much and realize that there’s a big reason for that.

Lastly, Glee can make a simple shot of a piece of paper falling into a trashcan so very sad.

It feels like we’ve been hearing about Ryan Murphy’s Glee Break-Up episode for so long now, but it’s finally coming this week. After getting an early look at it, I can assure you, there will be tears from anyone watching, and our suspicions were confirmed. Check out the new Klaine & Finchel images and clips below.

Glee has never gotten me teared up until this season, and Ryan Murphy’s Break-Up episode will easily get every fan weeping easily. This one hits so on the mark for anyone who’s been in a relationship that goes through growing pains or just realizes that it’s over. Many of us will keep pushing forward in a relationship even though we know it’s over, but something just makes us pretend away and this episode touches on those things along with realizing how deep love can go.

I dare any cynics of the show to be able to sit through this episode without being touched in some way. As we all know Finchel will be over after Executive Producer Brad Falchuk confirmed it, but naturally after Darren Criss made an aside comment about Klaine, everyone’s jumped all over that. I’m not going to go into detail since I hate those kind of spoilers as you all haven’t seen it yet, but Kurt (Chris Colfer) and Blaine’s (Darren Criss) storyline follows a normal relationship where two people are striving to keep their own individuality in the relationship. How many of us have been in that relationship where you both lose yourselves? This covers that so well and how to keep a relationship healthy while going after your own dreams.








The official synopsis for the Break-Up episode: Rachel (Lea Michele) and Kurt (Chris Colfer) are caught off-guard when they get unexpected visits in New York City. Meanwhile, Santana (Naya Rivera) and Brittany (Heather Morris) deal with the long distance between them, and Will (Matthew Morrison) and Emma (Jayma Mays) disagree on a new job offer in the all-new “The Break Up” episode.

Santana will be popping in to McKindley to sing Taylor Swift’s Mine song to Brittany, but the frustrating part of all this is that Glee will be on hiatus until November 8, 2012 when Blake Jenner’s Ryder comes onboard. If you look closely in the clip below, you’ll see Dean Geyer’s Brody is right in the background watching things unfold.

Adam Levine and Blake Shelton are sticking to The Voice for another two seasons while Cee Lo Green and Christina Aguilera take a small break next season. Shakira and Usher will fill their red seats next spring.

Christina Aguilera had already said she needed a break from The Voice, which she called her ‘side project’, but winning coaches, Maroon 5 frontman, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton are staying strong with the show for the next two seasons through 2013. The show has definitely brought some major mainstream attention to both singers, and they seem to really enjoy their jobs.

Cee Lo Green and Aguilera will be getting Usher and Shakira to sub in for them next spring, but they’ll be back for the following fall season.

“This pickup will assure the many dedicated Voice fans that this innovative show will continue to bring some of the most talented new voices to the world’s attention through all of next year,” NBC Entertainment chairman Robert Greenblatt said in a statement. “With the addition of Usher and Shakira as rotating coaches to join Christina, Cee Lo, Adam and Blake in the next cycle, we know that this incredibly addictive program will remain even more relevant as we move forward through this exciting season. My hat is off to John de Mol, Mark Burnett, and everyone who produces this classy and highly entertaining show for us.”

The move to the fall hasn’t hurt the show as it’s winning it’s timeslot and easily giving Simon Cowell’s X Factor USA a run for their money. So fans of the Adam Levine/Blake Shelton bromance, will be thrilled to know that it’s strong for another year and two more shows.

We ran the other Glee full performance clips yesterday, but wanted to run the Klaine It’s Time alone since we have a whole new slew of images of them plus Rachel and Dean Geyer’s Brody. Check them out below.

Since there’s so many Klaine fans that got so touched by Blaine (Darren Criss) singing It’s Time to Kurt (Chris Colfer), letting him know he needed to go to New York City, here’s the full performance below. Plus there’s some new images of the two plus Brody (Dean Geyer) being the supporter for Rachel (Lea Michele).





Now here’s some of Kurt when he surprises Rachel in New York, and if any of you fans have ever moved to a big city and had the one day of feeling all alone, I’ve been there too. That scene when she called Kurt reminded me of my gay friend I’ve had forever and when that happened.













Between the Klaine song and Burt sending his son off, I literally was tearing up, and that’s not happened to me with this show since the first season. As I posted yesterday in my review, this season will easily win back fans that have drifted away. If the rest of this season stays this strong, FOX will easily sign Glee on for another season.
