Everyone’s favorite zombie killer, Norman Reedus (The Walking Dead) has a pretty powerful film coming out next month showing the hardcore effects of bullying called Hello Herman. Yes, we’ve gotten used to the ‘It Gets Better’ campaigns and everyone talking about it, but this film takes quite a different approach with it.

I’ll be watching this tonight and reviewing for an interview with both the filmmaker Michelle Danner and Reedus, and I’m expecting it to pack quite the punch. For some reason, the trailer reminded me of the feel of the indie gem Closet Land with Alan Rickman, and I really like the point of view of this film. This is what Danner had to say about why she chose to take on this film.

Below you can check out Reedus talking about why he chose to be part of this film along with some great behind the scenes footage. On this set, you definitely had to lighten the mode I’m sure when dealing with such powerful scenes as the pic of him photo bombing the set shows.

I’d not heard a lot about this film so I’m glad it was brought to my attention as these are the ones we really love to make sure you all check out. Taking on passion projects like this is why Reedus is everyone’s favorite Judas and zombie killer! The trailer is below too and you’ll see what I mean in how it packs quite the punch.

The first trailer for The Haunting Of Helena has hit and it’s showing plenty of teeth…literally. What would you expect from a movie about the Tooth Fairy and that was originally called that? Those poor tortured little girls always wind up looking creepy in these films, and as you can see in the image above, it definitely works great in conjunction with the freaky poster below.

For anyone who’s had their own fear of the Tooth Fairy, this film will only solidify them along with making sure that those with room under their bed will be checking them after seeing this film. With horror films, the ending is pretty much easy to figure out before the first act is over, but this one has a final act that you won’t see coming.

Ben Kingsley’s Mandarin in Iron Man 3 hit some great high notes, and he’s back playing another intense role in A Common Man. He plays a seemingly average man who has put five deadly bombs around a major international city and will detonate them unless four international terrorists are released from governmental prisons. Thanks to our friends at Anchor Bay, you can get a copy of the blu-ray for free or you can pre-order this one too.

A Common Man was a finalist at the New York Festival and it definitely shows the never ending cycle when it comes to terrorist violence. As we’ve seen, one side does something and then the other retaliates until it just continues with so many people dying along with all the collateral damage. This is one to definitely keep your eyes out for as it packs a pretty powerful punch.

Angelina Jolie proves to be another inspiration to women faced with choices that are beyond their control. Many times women are terrified of the stigma of having a masectomy, even if it can reduce your risk of cancer to nearly zero percent. Christina Applegate went through this after her battle with breast cancer and became one of the few actresses willing to share her story.

Jolie, who’s mother died of ovarian cancer at 56 is taking the precautionary move after discovering that she carried the BRCA1 gene, which dramatically increases a woman’s risk of developing breast cancer and ovarian cancer. Rather than wait and see what happens fearing the still remaining stigma of losing a breast or in this case, both, the actress chose to play it smart. Thankfully, more women like her are sharing their stories so other women will be aware of having a test done to see if they carry this gene and that there is an answer.

Having had a close friend go through the same thing and feel she was all alone, I’m so glad more women are stepping up to talk about their experience.

Oscar-winning actress Angelina Jolie said on Tuesday that she had undergone a preventive double mastectomy after finding out she had a gene mutation that leads to a sharply higher risk of both breast and ovarian cancer.

Jolie, writing in the New York Times, said her mother’s death from cancer at 56 and the discovery that she carried the BRCA1 gene mutation led to her decision out of fears she might not be around for her six children.

“We often speak of ‘Mommy’s mommy’, and I find myself trying to explain the illness that took her away from us. They have asked if the same could happen to me,” wrote Jolie, 37, in the editorial “My Medical Choice”.

“I have always told them not to worry, but the truth is I carry a ‘faulty’ gene,” she added.

Her doctor estimated that she had an 87 percent risk of breast cancer and a 50 percent risk of ovarian cancer.

“Once I knew this was my reality, I decided to be proactive and to minimize the risk as much as I could. I made a decision to have a preventive double mastectomy,” she said.

Three months of surgical procedures were completed at the end of April, throughout which Jolie continued to work. She said her partner, Brad Pitt, was by her side throughout, and thanked him for his love and support.

She said she was revealing her decision to help dispel the shadows that still hang over cancer and to enable other women to get testing and make informed treatment choices, as she had.

“The decision to have a mastectomy was not easy. But it is one I am very happy to have made,” she said, adding that her chances of developing breast cancer had dropped from 87 percent to 5 percent.

Spokesmen for Jolie and Pitt, one of Hollywood’s biggest power couples, were not immediately available for comment.

Jolie, who won a best support actress Oscar for her work on “Girl, Interrupted” in 1999, is raising six children with Pitt. The couple got engaged last year.

 It’s not surprise that Robert Downey Jr’s Iron Man 3 and The Great Gatsby topped the weekend box office charts. Gatsby was definitely a marketing coup for a weekend that didn’t have much competition for female audiences. Iron Man 3 still took the top spot after doing some killer worldwide box office. 3D wasn’t a friend to Gatsby as most audiences chose the more traditional theaters, and the Mark Wahlberg Dwayne Johnson Pain and Gain took third place.

Things will change this upcoming weekend once Star Trek Into Darkness lands stateside. This sequel is one well worth checking out and all the expectation J.J. Abrams set with the first Star Trek movie are more than met this time around.

The Twilight Saga’s Robert Pattinson has had quite the year with the saga that made him famous coming to an end and remaining strong with Kristen Stewart so this birthday for him is a memorable one.  He spent his birthday weekend out in L.A. without Stewart and definitely had a rough look about him, but he’s being sure to be more vocal about his relationship and his wish for a stronger personal life in the upcoming year. He spent the earlier part of last week with his Vampire Bella in New York City, but had some private time at the Chateau Marmont and photogs captured him looking a little gruff on his way out.

The two will be hitting the Cannes red carpet together as part of promotional duties and romantic getaway. Usually one to play his cards close to his chest, it seems the Edward Cullen actor has been much more vocal about his relationship getting stronger along with the two actors looking for the next movie to do together.

“He wants to have a much stronger relationship and Kristen has him thinking that by doing another movie together, this can only make them closer,” several sources close to the couple said. “Kristen can be very insecure and she needs to have someone around more often making her feel special and cared for or else she’ll quickly wander as she did with Snow White and the Huntsman.”

Stewart is planning quite the party for her man to top even the one he splurged on her. Word is she’s even having his astrological charts done which she might want to hold of on since many horoscopes have shown that their relationship isn’t looking to be as long-term as their on-screen one was. Below is what was revealed by several astrologers about the relationship.

“Kristen has a special day and night planned for Rob,which will include swimming, friends, music, and of course their dogs Bear and Bernie. She’s not revealing too many details because she wants it to be a surprise for him,” notes the friend. “She just wants to totally shower him with love and affection.”

Gore Verbinski’s The Lone Ranger originally had low expectations, but with each trailer, people have quickly warmed up to the Johnny Depp Armie Hammer action film. You know from the trailers alone it’s going to be a lot of action on top of action. It was originally slated for a Memorial Day release but with the Starship Enterprise hovering over that timeframe, they wisely pushed it back to July 4th weekend.
