Ben Kingsley’s Mandarin in Iron Man 3 hit some great high notes, and he’s back playing another intense role in A Common Man. He plays a seemingly average man who has put five deadly bombs around a major international city and will detonate them unless four international terrorists are released from governmental prisons. A Common Man was a finalist at the New York Festival and it definitely shows the never ending cycle when it comes to terrorist violence. As we’ve seen, one side does something and then the other retaliates until it just continues with so many people dying along with all the collateral damage. This is one to definitely keep your eyes out for as it packs a pretty powerful punch.

I don’t usually push a film so much, but this one definitely stayed with me. Jade Dornfeld plays Alyce, and like how Angela Bettis portrayed May, Dornfeld makes Alyce truly unforgettable. She truly takes on this role with a gusto and it’s one of those films that will easily stay with you long after you leave the theater.

Before Norman Reedus was known as good ole Daryl Dixon on The Walking Dead, he made his mark in The Boondock Saints, and all you fans of him and it can get plenty of great gear. The Boondock Saints was the film that truly overcame all odds to be a cult favorite. If you’ve not seen the documentary Overnight, you’ll get a true appreciation of how this film came about along with being a great cautionary tale for every new filmmaker. After interest grew so big for the first one, filmmaker Troy Duffy was able to get the sequel All Saints Day and now word keeps floating that a third one could be on the way.

Boondock Saints Movie Synopsis

Two Irish brothers accidentally killed mafia thugs. They turned themselves in and were released as heroes. They then see it as a calling by God and started knocking off mafia gang members one by one. Warner Bros is celebrating it’s 90th birthday this year, and they want to make sure you get to spend plenty of time with your mom for Mother’s Day too as they’ve put out their 100 Films Mother’s Day Movie Night collection. I can assure you there won’t be any films like Spanking the Monkey or Mother’s Day in the mix, but it’s a pretty sweet collection most mom’s would love. The producers of the Broken Lizards Club’s Beerfest and Super Troopers are back with Freeloaders, a movie that’s an easy fit for the post Spring Break season. It’s time to get your Wicked on with Image Entertainment’s latest horror movie starring Justin Deeley (90210 & infamous International Jock model) and Devon Werkheiser. You can get hold of your own copy of the film which is pretty good. The DVD hits April 30th, 2013 and you can also pre-order if you just can’t wait. Check out below to see how to get your own free copy of the film.

Quite frankly, I wasn’t expecting a lot from this film after seeing the clips since it looked like the usual CW types going off into the woods proving they’re not afraid of the big bad witch. I’ve seen other reviews really tear into this film, but trust me, I’ve seen so much worse (Bryan Loves You) comes to mind. The first half of the movie works out best as they develop the relationships. Justin Deeley (Zach) and Devon Werkheiser (Max) are brothers who can’t stand each other, etc., but the most promising one is between Max and Sammy. Sadly the relationship development is dropped in the second half of the film and I felt like the scenes outside were much more interesting than inside. Inside is where you can tell this film was a very teeny budget and low budget CGI blood always sucks.

I’ve worked on plenty of low low budget horror films and making realistic blood from scratch is not that hard. The story is basic enough about a local legend where a witch comes to eat you when you break a window in her house. If kids were throwing rocks through my windows, I’d be ready to do some damage to them too! The Wicked is definitely much better than many low horror indie pics out there…it’s not great that’s for sure, but it’s worth checking out. Plus you can get it for free here so you can see for yourself.

State Of Emergency Movie Synopsis
