As expected ‘Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2‘ castmates Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner caused a big Comic Con stir yesterday, but they also revealed a little more about what to expect in the final (?) film in the lucrative franchise.
Some of you will be breathing a sigh of relief that ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2‘ is nearly upon us ending all the gruesome birth killing Bella scene, but many others will be having to rally Summit to bring on more films the series. Now that Bella is finally a vampire and hunting with her quickly growing daughter who’s going to wind up as the consolation prize for Taylor Lautner’s Jacob, here’s some images of the trio at Comic Con 2012 along with some hi-res shots from the film.
The biggest news that was stressed at the Twilight panel was the Bella (Stewart) will be kicking some major vampire ass when she’s not moping with Edward (Pattinson). At least they’re throwing in some variety, but Jacob looks to be keeping his shirt on more than ever while looking sullen. When you’re used to being shirtless for your fame, that extra layer of clothing is uncomfortable and bound to make you look unhappy. Stewart revealed that her absolute favorite scene in the upcoming film is her first hunt with newborn Renesmee…nothing like sharing some blood with your own blood as a bonding experience!
To draw in some more males, there’s going to be an epic showdown between the Cullens (and friends) and the dangerous vampire lords, the Volturi, the cast promised that the fight scenes would be big. Naturally, questions popped up about rebooting the franchise and Stephanie Meyer was as quick to pounce on it as a hungry vampire to a healthy neck. “I mean, I think that could happen,” she answered to the question. “In the right scenario, it might be something I’d be excited about … [at least], 15 years down the line.” I think she was deafened by the next round of box office tickets flooding her bank accounts so she’ll probably be pumping out more Twilight things to keep the blood lust going.
After the birth of Renesmee Cullen, Bella, now a vampire, finds herself enjoying her new life and abilities. However, the vampire Irina misidentifies Renesmee as an “immortal child”, a child who has been turned into a vampire, and because immortal children are uncontrollable, creating them has been outlawed by the Volturi. After Irina presents her allegation to the Volturi, they plan to destroy Renesmee and the Cullens. In an attempt to survive, the Cullens gather other vampire clans from around the world to stand as witnesses and prove to the Volturi that Renesmee is not an immortal child.
