When you’re a Z-list has-been actor it’s important to remember where you started and ride that train until the tracks eventually lead you over the side of a cliff. Take, for example, Erik Estrada, who just this past Halloween went on The TODAY Show dressed as his character from the ’70s TV show CHiPs.
As if it’s not bad enough that Estrada hasn’t done anything notable in Hollywood since the show wrapped in 1983, he’s decided to try his luck in a new movie produced by conservative, anti-lots-of-things group Liberty Counsel. The film, Uncommon, is Footloose meets Glee meets Saved (without the self-awareness). Estrada plays a school janitor called upon by students to help put on a Bible-based drama production. God help us.
