Chris Nolan is keeping everyone on their toes with Batman 3 aka The Dark Knight Rises. First he hires Tom Hardy making everyone think he’ll be the next villain, but our sources tell us that it will actually be a woman (Anne Hathaway) playing that role and think Catwoman.
Just when all the Batman fans were afraid that Chris Nolan might get sidetracked with his Superman 3.0 movie, the director throws many curves at the fans and media starting with hiring Tom Hardy who was in his Inception film. Deadline and many other places assumed Hardy would be the next bad guy, but Best Movies Ever knew that was too easy for Nolan since all the films have so far had a male villain. Then we got an e-mail from one of our sources on the film telling us that the next villain would actually be a female and to think Catwoman as that villain. Most people assumed that the Riddler would be next in line for the villain, but we’re thinking if it’s not Catwoman (Anne Hathaway) then another surprise villainess could be Talia al-Ghul, daughter of Ra’s al-Ghul, played by Liam Neeson in Nolan’s Batman Begins. Nolan loves keeping everyone guessing and that would definitely come out of the blue for many people. We’re hearing that Tom Hardy will be playing ‘Bane‘, the man who literally broke Batman.
Here’s the list of the actresses Nolan currently has lined up for two roles in The Dark Knight Rises. One for the love interest and the other for the villain.

Naomi Watts (King Kong, Mulholland Drive)
Blake Lively (Green Lantern, The Town)
Natalie Portman (Black Swan, your dreams)
*Anne Hathaway (The Devil Wears Prada) – this is who our sources insist will be playing Catwoman.
Keira Knightley (Pirates of The Caribbean)
Our source also let us know that if it’s Catwoman, don’t be surprised to see Anne Hathaway don the suit last worn (and not very well) by Halle Berry.
